How this Relates to Gatsby This Ted talk is about the science behind falling in love, dealing with rejection, and being madly in love. The study explores the areas where the most brain activity occurs throughout the three categories. The question explored is "do we crave love so much, even to the point that we would die for it?" This relates to Gatsby in how deeply he loved Daisy, the lengths he went to in attempts to win her over, how he eventually died because of his love. I would love to know what was going on in Gatsby's head for him to remain in love with Daisy after all those years of rejection, and persevere through his progressively dwindling prospects of eventually winning Daisy's love.
